The Chupa Chups logo Salvador Dali's Masterpiece

I've always been fond of both of them, Salvador Dali's work and the amazing Chupa Chups lollipop logo, but I've never thought there could be something common between both except being Catalan.
As he always did, again he's amazing us one more time, the legend, the wacky surrealist Salvador Dali comes to be the one behind the famous Chupa Chups famous logo ! Yes it's true, dunno if you've heard about it before or not but that's totally a new information for me. This all goes back to the 50's when the Chupa Chups cofounder Enric Bernat had an idea of placing a candy on a stick, he named it "GOL," or ”goal” in English, imagining the candy as a football, being scored in mouth. It didn’t go over well. So Bernat hired an advertising agency that renamed the lollipop to "Chupa Chups" which means “to suck” in English. The name was renovated, what about tzhe branding ?
Late 60's Bernat complained about that issue while having coffee with a friend who was an artist....yes ! It was Dali ! Dali designed the Chupa Chups logo in about an hour, drawing it on a news paper. He took the lollipop's name and used it to design the fancy long lasting logo that barely changed after all those years. That wasn't all, Dali also had the idea of placing the logo up on top of the lollipop, so it would be more intact. What's really strange was Dali's role in such a thing.
Why would a genius surrealist who's famous for his art and unique style especially with that famous mustache take such a thing? That was olso one new thing to know about Dali, his eagerness ! he never let a chance down. This makes it clear why was he nicknamed by André Breton "Avida Dollars" , in English ” eager for cash ”.
